Project Overview
Powercell Limited is proud to announce the signing of a landmark agreement with Supersaver Retail Grocery Store and financing partner Manocap Energy to deliver a 850kWp solar PV system paired with 1.2MWh of advanced energy storage. This project will be deployed across three Supersaver retail sites, marking a major step forward in Nigeria’s transition toward sustainable and reliable commercial energy solutions.
Technical Scope of the Project
The project combines high-capacity solar PV arrays with cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to ensure continuous, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly power supply. With a total installed solar capacity of 850 kilowatts peak (kWp) and 1.2 megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy storage, the system is designed to:
- Reduce Supersaver’s dependence on the grid and diesel generators.
- Provide stable, uninterrupted electricity for retail operations.
- Cut operational energy costs significantly.
- Lower carbon emissions in line with global clean energy targets.
As the appointed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) partner, Powercell Limited will leverage its extensive expertise to ensure seamless installation, long-term efficiency, and maximum return on investment for Supersaver.
